We recently completed the development of the Oxford Presidential Debate Housing website. Oxford is expecting 3,200 journalists to attend the debate, and with only 600 hotel rooms, they needed a way to offer alternative housing.
The Oxford-Lafayette Chamber of Commerce came to us to develop a custom solution that would allow local home owners to list their property for rent during the week of the presidential debate.
The website has a wealth of features including PayPal integration that allows the journlists to pay the property owner directly without the need for each property owner to setup an internet merchant account. It also allows owners to post their property information and images, and has a pretty in-depth admin system that allows debate housing support personnel to assist in managing properties.
The project was quite an undertaking, but it was also a lot of fun to work on. I can’t say enough about the Oxford-Lafayette Chamber. They were great to work with, full of great ideas, and had quick answers to every question I would throw at them.
