Grab a blanket, your friends and family, and get away to Mississippi for the day in Elysian Park. We all need a good reason to stop and kick back for a day and what better way to do it than the way we learned to do it back home. Mix one part good people with a dash of good food and a little bit of great music.

Come out and enjoy fresh farm raised Fried Catfish from Yazoo City, smoked BBQ from Tupelo and good Southern music by artists from around the state…some who live back home and others living here in Los Angeles with Mississippi roots. Enjoy a cold iced tea or beer while you say hello to old friends and hopefully make some new. It’s been a wonderful grassroots effort pulling this together this year so big thanks to everyone who has helped and continues to help out. Tickets are available online at www.brownpapertickets.com and tickets will be available at the event (CASH ONLY). A $20 donation will cover the food, drink and music, all available to you once you are inside. We expect a wonderful turnout of up to 500. Unfortunately that is all we can accommodate at this year’s location so we recommend you get your tickets online if possible.

Parking, as always in Los Angeles, will be an issue so we highly recommend carpooling biking and public transport. It's about a 10 min. stroll up the hill from the stadium way entrance to the Picnic area. Also, there will be shuttles available at the main entrance on Stadium Way throughout the day for anyone who would rather ride than walk up and down the hill. Thanks again everyone.
